About FDLP
The University Libraries was designated as a Federal Depository Library for the 27th U. S. Congressional District of Texas on September 5, 2001.  Publications were selected from the basic list of publications for distribution.  Shipment of documents began in October 2002.
What is the Federal Depository Library Program?
The Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) is established by the Congress to ensure that the American public has free access to its Government’s information. This program is supervised by the Government Printing Office. Under this program depository libraries have been established in each state and U.S. Congressional District to provide government information products more widely for free use by general public. Depository libraries support the public’s right to Federal Government information by collecting, organizing, preserving, and providing assistance to library users.
